Our Master Lacquer Artisans

All of our lacquer pieces are handcrafted by certified master artisans who have dedicated decades to Fuzhou Daqi, China’s precious Intangible Cultural Heritage craft.

Trained in the time-honored traditional lacquer techniques passed down through generations, every master has mastered the full ancient workflow of natural raw lacquer making: repeated layering, rhinoceros skin texture modulation, mother-of-pearl inlay, gold leaf embellishment and long-term hand polishing. Each lacquer cup, gourd ornament and bead bracelet undergoes dozens of manual procedures over weeks to shape unique natural marbled textures that cannot be replicated by machines.

Rejecting industrial paint substitutes, our masters only use pure raw sap extracted from wild lacquer trees. They combine thousands of years of oriental lacquer aesthetics with modern tea ware design, balancing traditional craft charm and daily usability. Every finished work carries the patience and ingenuity of hand craftsmanship, delivering authentic Chinese lacquer art to collectors and tea lovers worldwide.
